Hidden House, London

It was the time of the year when a tree’s first leaves just start to discolor and fall off. If we weren’t already approaching a more melancholic and inward-looking state of being, the completion of Hidden House, located at a stone’s throw from fashionable Westbourne Grove, surely added to our freshly awakened sense of privacy.

Hidden House

A true residential gem in the district of Notting Hill, London, Hidden House definitely highlights our company’s forte of delivering spectacular-sized planks in a beautiful Continental Oak Select Grade. Several spaces were chosen to benefit from the qualities of superb natural wood: the games/ day room (adjacent to the pool, which happens to be London’s longest private pool!), the ground-floor reception area, the master bedroom including connected walk-in closet and hallway, and the house’s staircase.

Different Sizes, Selected Patterns

Responding to the client’s needs and desires, we suggested two types of Oak floor patterns: A 20cm width Continental Oak Select Grade was laid into an oversized Chevron pattern, that just like a Herringbone allows for the geometrical zig-zag pattern — albeit in this case the planks are cut on an angle so the ‘zig’ meets the ‘zag’ along a perfectly straight axis. For the reception area, we supplied fixed width 40cm Oak boards, with a prefinished appearance in Faded Silvergrey Ultramatt Poly.

Timeless Luxury

We think it turned out to be a dream property. Very London, very now, unmistakable timeless: A case of true luxury.
